David Nicholls is never far wrong when he places his horses in the sort of grade and Rudi's Pet is almost impossible to ignore at this level. However, he is obviously a shade of better days after finishing fourth in a similar contest at Catterick last time and there could be some ground to be covered in sorting out another selection for an each way steal as well. Its Ecco Boy fits the bill and is preferred to Lord Of The East, Endless Summer and Jonny Ebeneezer over this trip. Karl Burke's charge has not really enjoyed the greatest of fortune in his outings this season but has continually paid his way with place money at this level. The fact that his connections have sought out the assistance of Frankie Dettori suggests that they also mean business for today's contest and, with trip and ground in their favour, the high draw may not be such a disadvantage for the partnership today. Swynford Welcome also goes well here and is another to think about along with Rudi's Pet and Its Ecco Boy.
