      Verdict

      Ramona Chase finished second in slow ground over C&D a week ago but he has a poor strike rate and third-placed NEW CODE is fancied to reverse running on this occasion. The latter will get his preferred fast ground today and is only 2lb higher than when scoring at Windsor in April. Foxhaven has claims off his current mark, though he produced a below-par effort when last seen at this track, while My Valley needs a longer trip and If I Were A Boy has yet to prove he stays today's distance. Epic is back on a winning mark but out of sorts and a first-time visor replaces the usual blinkers.
