UK-based trainers have won three of the last eight and though William Haggas' Battalion hasn't won beyond Listed level this doesn't look the strongest of Group 3 contests. Tennessee Wildcat has a similar profile though his form on the track gives him an edge and he should have no problems reversing his head defeat by Qatari Hunter here in July as he's 10lb better off. Aidan O'Brien has won it three times in recent years, all with three-year-olds, and LONG ISLAND SOUND should keep up the sequence. The winner of his first three starts, including two here, he didn't enjoy soft ground behind Hawkbill at Royal Ascot and has since run brilliantly in two Grade 1 races on fast going in the USA, form that gives him a clear chance in this. Cruiseliner is a Group 1 winner in Brazil but hasn't run since last August.
