Flylikeaneagle finished last in his last four starts for Mark Johnston then showed nothing over hurdles for new connections so it was no surprise to see him start 66/1 last month. What was a shock, however, was that he managed to win and, though 5lb higher, has to be respected. Pachmena was also a shock winner of a track and trip handicap in November but has been unable to repeat that sort of form. Spelga completed a hat-trick here at the end of 2019 and not surprisingly shot up the weights. He's been racing exclusively over 1m4f and running better than form figures imply. BLACKSTONE CLIFF has won three times since September, two of them here including 12 days ago. Siobhan Routledge takes over the reins and her 7lb claim negates a 6lb rise. The lightly-raced Dande was only beaten three lengths in that latter event but looks held.
