Verdict

Aragorn Rouge appears to have the best form on offer here but it's far from certain that he'll appreciate this first try at 1m4f so is taken on with the unexposed SALAM ALAYKUM. Mick Halford's colt also tries this trip for the first time but he's by Galileo out of a Darshaan mare should have no problem lasting home and he shaped nicely over a mile here last month. Shuruwaat was second in a bumper at Cork in October and could run into a place but Kavanagh returns from a break and will be seen to better effect over hurdles in the near future. An Spailpin Fanach was a $117,000 yearling and has a decent dirt pedigree so would be interesting if attracting market support, though has evidently been hard to train.
