In depth

Verdict

Taunton maiden winner Asum has obvious scope for improvement after just the three runs, though the handicapper has taken no chances. Bank Bonus was a close second at Catterick earlier this month but is 6lb higher today. Political Quiz is also up in the weights after winning at Leicester but Cousin Khee has been dropped a couple of pounds after failing to justify favouritism at the same track and Dawn Missile is worth a market check now handicapping. MUTHABIR ran well at Kempton after winning at Huntingdon and his stable has hit a purple patch. With Daniel Hiskett taking off a handy 5lb, Richard Phillips’s seven-year-old should be thereabouts again. Orchard Park deserves a change of luck but may have to settle for a place on the podium again.
