This looks by some way the weakest of the two divisions of this maiden and a chance is taken on the newcomer Naval Review, who is preferred to the pick of those with experience Tourist and High Plains. The last mentioned improved marginally on his debut effort last time and may do better on a faster surface today but is likely to have to settle for minor honours. Ed Dunlop's Riqaab is bred to be useful but the trainer very rarely has a first time out two-year-old winner, while the market may provide the best clues as to the chances of Louis Seffens. Tourist showed signs of ability on his Newbury debut but, along with most of those with racing experience, he would need to improve and it may be worth chancing Sir Michael Stoute's newcomer Naval Review.
