Verdict
Aidan O’Brien has won this with subsequent Classic winners in the past including Camelot, the sire of the unbeaten LUXEMBOURG. The latter surged clear of his rivals to land the Group 2 Beresford Stakes at the Curragh in impressive style, despite still showing signs of inexperience, and can take this potentially more difficult task in his stride. Royal Patronage had the measure of Imperial Fighter in the Acomb Stakes before winning the Royal Lodge at Newmarket but earlier form gives him something to find with Bayside Boy, who finished third behind Native Trail in the Dewhurst at Headquarters a fortnight ago and can also figure in this. Maiden winners Sissoko and Mctigue travel over from Ireland with preference for the former while Hannibal Barca and Bullet Force are others with plenty to prove at this level.
