In a competitive opener, Imperial Echo is selected ahead of Geojimali, Inaminute and Yorkshire Blue. Bahiano's second to Purus at Newmarket last time sees him come here in good form. Up in trip, the lightly-raced Makshoof could be interesting. Starlight Gazer might prefer some juice in the going. Macedon comes here as open to improvement and can be competitive from his current rating, we feel. Curzon Prince came back to form over course and distance last time and, if in the same type of mood, would have to be respected. Imperial Echo is weighted to win again and didn't get the run of things at Catterick last time so has to be given some serious thought. Geojimali is three-pounds below a winning five furlong mark from April and could be interesting as he is unexposed at today's trip, while Bonny Prince Blue holds claims based on his best 2006 Turf form but is generally better on the all-weather. Jacaranda Ridge is lightly raced and seemed to show improvement last time, although that came on soft going, and Inaminute is racing from a winning mark and he looked a little unlucky in running last time. Yerevan is also back to a winning mark, but that came on soft going. Finally, Yorkshire Blue is one that could go well at a price and Medici Pearl is capable of running well from her curent mark but, for the selection, we return to Imperial Echo.
