Verdict

The top weight has won this for the last two seasons and GRANDEUR may have the class to follow in their hoofprints. At first glance, his win in a Brighton maiden was nothing special but the runner-up had run well in a hot nursery at Goodwood previously and the grey is certain improve further over this extra furlong. Amazing Storm also looks likely to be suited by a mile after following up his Windsor win with a victory over 7f on good to soft ground at Newmarket. Anjaz has had the form of his Kempton win franked and has plenty of scope, while Epsom scorer Repeater is still heading in the right direction but the handicapper may have got to grips with Pride And Joy and Burano will find easier opportunities to break his duck before the season is out.
