H Harrison can end an exasperating sequence of seconds by landing the finale at the expense of Conjuror, Outer Hebrides and Pintle. This looks a fairly competitive affair to go out on, but it is surely only a matter of time before H Harrison returns to winning ways. The Ian McInnes-trained five-year-old was kept busy in August, turning out three times in the space of four days at Epsom and at Chester twice. On each occasion he had the misfortune to find one too good, but despite a tendency to hang under pressure, he stuck to his task well when the chips were down, and off his current mark, is capable of putting matters right. Conjuror is not badly treated compared to the start of the season, and his second in a classified stakes race at Redcar last week puts him in with a sound chance. Outer Hebrides has winning form here but would prefer the ground a bit softer, and in addition looks held by Machinist who beat him narrowly here in May. Pintle's Yarmouth form has been let down by the runner-up, while Mystic Man has more to do, but at least the stable is in good form. Many in with chances than, but H Harrison gets the vote.
