Hiccups, Royal Challenge and Snow Bunting are the three for the shortlist and the vote goes to Hiccups to supplement his recent success. Mark Tompkins¿ Royal Challenge had been the subject of good gallop reports when being very well backed at Newmarket last time, but failed to land a blow. That was a competitive contest however, and he should not be written off too quickly. Snow Bunting has more solid form on the board and is worthy of serious consideration. After a pipe opener over this course and distance, he has run well in good contests at Newmarket and Newcastle, and although his Newcastle conqueror Inter Vision was well beaten at Haydock, his chance is to be respected as he has a progressive profile. We turn to the top weight Hiccups to lead them home. Formerly with Lynda Ramsden, and now with the in form Dandy Nicholls, Hiccups ran well at Ripon and Newcastle before only needing to be pushed out to score at Catterick. That was an impressive success and he can follow up here. Hiccups is the selection.
