Kloud Gate looked a promising sort a couple of years ago but he’s finished last in two of his three starts this term. Scrutinise has won three times and has had wind surgery since last seen at Stratford in the autumn. Methag, a course and distance winner last season, didn’t stay 3m here last time but we’ll forgive DREWMAIN LEGEND a modest effort at Southwell in December given he’s done well since switching back to hurdles last season. Heart Of A Lion makes his handicap debut and is the least exposed so rates a danger while Stylish Dancer is back with Dan Skelton for whom she won off an 11lb higher mark as a four-year-old. Always Resolute could also go well having his sights lowered.
