Rateel had looked as though a victory was imminent before scoring over this trip at Naas then found dropping back in trip at Leopardstown against him, especially on fast ground. SECRET PATH was having just her fourth start and making her handicap debut when beaten a head in that Naas event and, with further progress likely, should be capable of reversing the form and taking this. Jaguar Paw attempted to make all over a mile at Gowran and didn't succumb until a furlong out but Emily Square hasn't been running well despite dropping to a winnable mark. Set To Fire was behind Rateel at Naas and is no better off but Pat Smullen takes the ride again on Saint Clair and Tracey Collins' lightly-raced filly could snatch a place.
