Verdict

KYPRIOS was unbeaten in six starts last season including this race and Cup races at Goodwood and Ascot. He ended the campaign by landing the Prix du Cadran at Longchamp by 20 lengths and though unraced subsequently will be tuned up to defend his crown. His stablemate Emily Dickinson has been going well though a six-lengths defeat by Quickthorn in the Goodwood Cup doesn't read well in the context of this race though she did have last year's Doncaster St Leger hero Eldar Eldarov close behind. Yashin had Dawn Rising a couple of lengths behind in a Leopardstown Group 3 back in May.
