Captainofthefleet was in excellent form at this time two years ago, winning over this course and distance. He shot up the weights and has taken a long time to come down but he showed a bit more dash at Naas last time. Notwhatiam won over 2m4f at Gowran in January and was in touch when slipping up there the following month. He was running in a much better race at Naas last time and isn't out of this. Vinnie Luck showed promise in maidens before sent chasing where he scored at Sligo in September. He was back over timber here in January but found two miles much too sharp and this is more his trip. Rue Hill disappointed when well supported at Thurles earlier this month after a very good run in a decent Gowran handicap but WESTERNER POINT looks to have been found an excellent opportunity. He's been in fine form over fences this campaign and though failing to take advantage of a much lower hurdles mark at Thurles he gets another chance here.
