Gobi Star has had his chances but wasn’t beaten far at Tipperary and looks certain to be thereabouts again. However, he was behind Baby Rosabella, who was having only her second start and should confirm the form. De Valera had decent form in minor company in France last summer but a chance is taken with the newcomer FUNCHAL. Willie McCreery’s filly is a half-sister to Group 2 and Listed winners and may be good enough to see off experienced rivals. Vivaia may prove best of the remainder in first-time blinkers.
