        Verdict

        Tom Dascombe has sent three of the last four winners but Gerrard's Return will need to improve on his recent form to figure. The trainer won a seller at Lingfield with Turanga Leela and the latter has now joined Ian Williams while Eva Gore and Melaniemillie are other winning platers. Ripon winner Rosebride failed to figure on her handicap debut but stablemate IN FIRST PLACE went close in a Class 2 nursery at York when ahead of Tailor's Row. Well beaten in the Super Sprint at Newbury since, an apprentice’s 5lb allowance should see him confirm running with the top weight and go very close.
