Marengo won this in 2016 and returned to form on soft ground here last time from this mark. BERRAHRI won twice on the snow at St Moritz in February which appears to have done him good as he's been in fine form all year. His latest success at Salisbury was at this level and he's only 2lb higher. Angel Gabrial is another who has returned to form having ended a very long losing spell with victories here and at Ripon though both were over 2m. Diocletian likes soft ground so more rain would aid his cause and he ran well at Sandown last time while Overhaugh Street led for a long way over slightly shorter here last month though could have done without a 2lb rise.
