There won't be many maidens contested by fillies rated 98 so it is hard to see past BELLAJEU on this occasion. Ralph Beckett's filly was outclassed in the Oaks but she had earned her tilt at Epsom having run creditably in the Lingfield trial. The well-bred Yet Again has been sent off as a favourite on both of her racecourse starts. She was sent off a particularly warm order for what appeared to be a smart Newbury maiden on debut, though the formbook suggests that she needs to have improved in order to be winning this. Barry Hills is synonymous with Chester winners so it is significant that Tedhkaar is pitched in here on debut. Blue Chip has been very green in her races so far and she will make more appeal once handicapping.
