Reflektor and Confessional were both well beaten in last year’s renewal though the latter is at his best here and today’s going will suit. But stablemate COPPER KNIGHT is also at home in soft ground and caught the eye finishing with a late flourish at Musselburgh on his reappearance. Tim Easterby’s charge should be sharper today and is taken to reverse latest running with third-placed Mokaatil. The latter won at Pontefract last month while Merhoob finished in front of Alfredo Arcano when placed over 6f at the All-Weather Championships at Lingfield and this is less competitive. Fool For You and Camacho Chief return to action with something to prove off their current marks but Growl looks more favourably handicapped though could have been better drawn.
