      Verdict

      The New Marwan sets a decent standard off a mark of 81 but has run poorly in soft going before and returned a losing favourite behind a Tom Dascombe-trained winner over track and trip last time. That should give the latter a good handle on the form and he runs BREATHALYZE, who never threatened when third at Doncaster on his debut but will know more here. Contract Kid, Thomas Hawk and Mrs Tiffen make no appeal but the newcomer Cognac cost €150,000 as a brother to four winners and a half-brother to others and Mark Johnston sent out last year’s winner.
