    Verdict

Given he won the Derby Trial at Lingfield, it was a surprise that MILITARY ORDER (NAP) didn’t appear to handle Epsom in the Derby itself. There must have been other reasons why he failed to perform but he’s had a break since and should outclass these if back to his best. Shanroe won over a similar trip at the Galway Festival but Lone Eagle is a shadow of the horse that finished second in the 2021 Irish Derby so Divine Jewel may be the one for forecast-backers as she was second in a Group 3 two runs ago. Thanks Monica and Greysful Storm may be out of their depth.
