A very informative contest for future reference can fall to Magic Mistress, whose stable have turned the corner lately and this five-year-old mare is fancied to get one over on her male rivals such as King Revo and Goblet Of Fire, who will be very hard to keep out of the frame if they run anywhere near their true capabilities. The last named gained some just reward when winning over course and distance when he last raced but is now 12lb higher in the weights. He is in good form but faces no easy task at on these terms. King Revo is also done no favours by his rating of 132 and, as he is due to go up a further pound, he does look as if he is in need of some assistance from the handicapper at the moment. The unexposed Papillon De Iena is also worth a mention, as he ran a blinder last time and holds place claims if he continues to progress. The betting will be a good guide where he is concerned. However, Magic Mistress, who has already paid her way in win and place money, will appreciate the ease in grade this afternoon and has proven ability to handle the conditions. Another plus in the current form of Jockey Mick Fitzgerald, whose skill in the saddle will be crucial factor in guiding Magic Mistress home today.
