Verdict

Beat That beat Cole Harden by four lengths in the Grade 1 Sefton at Aintree in April and followed up at Punchestown when getting the better of the smart Don Poli. But 3m is probably his trip nowadays and he does have a lengthy absence to overcome. This is Rock On Ruby's trip and the former champion came right back to his best in a Grade 2 over this track and trip last month. He makes more appeal than handicappers Hint Of Mint and Olofi, the latter finishing six lengths behind VANITEUX over 2m1f in The New One's race here last time. Barry Geraghty prefers the latter to Beat That which is no surprise as his mount should relish this longer trip and looks favoured by race conditions. Newbury winner Silsol is on an upward curve and shouldn't be disgraced tried against proven Grade 1 performers in this.
