      Verdict

      MAMBO DANCER finally got off the mark when stepped up to 2m at Newcastle a fortnight ago and there should be more to come from him over today’s distance. A 10lb rise for last year’s success at Lingfield has proved insurmountable for Alternate Route in subsequent starts while the unpredictable Fitzwilly was well beaten last time having gone close over track and trip before that. Lady Clitico won of a higher mark over 2m at Catterick last year but arrives badly out of sorts.
