In depth

Verdict

Both Vastly and Choral Clan bid for hat-tricks but step up in class off higher marks today. SONG AND DANCE MAN is preferred having made a winning return to action at Lingfield last month on his first start for Jane Chapple-Hyam. Still lightly-raced for his age, he can defy a 5lb rise and confirm running with third-placed Weardiditallgorong. Lady Lunchalot won here in May but was a long way behind the selection last time while Nosey Barker has struggled in handicaps since winning a maiden at Lingfield.
