made all, strongly challenged over 1f out, stayed on well
tracked leaders, took keen hold, went 2nd before halfway, every chance over 1f out, no extra final furlong
prominent, outpaced before halfway, soon beaten
War And Glory didn’t get the clearest of runs over track and trip on last week’s debut and should finish closer today receiving weight from the penalised horses. Deep Intrigue’s success at Beverley came over the minimum trip and he hasn’t raced since May which should hand the advantage to TOP BREEZE. The latter made every yard over today’s distance at Kempton on his racecourse debut in October with a subsequent winner back in fourth and Richard Hughes’ colt gets the vote on that form.
Deep Intrigue 4-7fav (9-2) Made all, ridden inside final furlong, held on well towards finish, won at Beverley 5f stks (5) gf in May beating Vange (9-2) by 3/4l, 7 ran.
Top Breeze (IRE) 7-1 (9-2) Made all, quickened clear over 1f out, edged right inside final furlong, comfortably, won at Kempton 6f stks (5) pol in Oct beating Double Kodiac (9-9) by 3 1/2l, 8 ran.
War And Glory (IRE) 8-1 (9-0) Behind, outpaced when short of room over 1f out and again inside final furlong, kept on, never able to challenge, 6th of 10, 7l behind Raheeb (9-0) at Chelmsford City 6f fll stks (5) pol in Nov.
