      Verdict

      Smooth Ryder just failed to catch the winner at Lingfield but CORPORATE RAIDER was less than a length behind in third. Cheekpieces are applied to the latter today and Julia Feilden’s charge is taken to turn the tables with that comeback run under his belt. Dovena appeared not to stay the 1m4f trip last time but had placed over today’s distance before that while Dabbous has more scope than most stepping up from 7f on his handicap debut having been recently gelded.
