LIBERTY TRAIL ran right back to his best last time out and is taken to go one better at the expense of Always Dixie and Alphacino. The selection broke his maiden tag last August and managed to score again before the season was out. He looked in need of the run on his first outing of the season in a handicap but showed promise after finishing second at Musselburgh in a seller on his latest outing. He gets another chance to race in this low grade event and if reproducing his best he ought to be difficult to beat. Always Dixie drops into selling grade for the first time having struggled in handicaps of late. He did run well in first time blinkers after finishing second on the sand at Southwell but has since disappointed. Connections have decided against the head gear once again but he should be monitored in the betting in such a low grade affair. Alphacino won a claimer at Thirsk last season but has failed to live up to expectations thereafter. This is however an easy opportunity so any market moves should be noted. Liberty Trail has the best form on offer and has conditions to suit so is difficult to oppose.
