Verdict

Basilicata had been running consistently well and landed a handicap at Newmarket before struggling at York where it seemed something was amiss. She can figure if back to her best but it could pay to stick with PAWS FOR THOUGHT. The latter made all at Chester a week ago when finishing clear of the rest and can go in again given he’s due to be raised more than today’s penalty in the future. Rommel returns to 7f with a shout having placed over a mile at Kempton but Rishworthian never looked like catching the winner when third here earlier, though will appreciate today’s faster ground. Chica Bella and Mister B have plenty to prove over the distance but Under Fox may do better now handicapping.
