Verdict

Sir Mark Prescott's CONSULT may well relish soft ground and is taken to land this division of the stayers' handicap, with Sendali feared. The latter carried Paul Hanagan to success over a similar trip at Redcar in April when the going was soft. At the 48-hour stage the championship leader was down to ride both those mentioned, so by race time whichever he sits on will probably be a tip in itself. Sendali goes well fresh and has definite claims. Even so, Consult has been going the right way and is on a very competitive mark. He does need to settle better, but conditions could suit and he is given the nod. Cut is not a problem for Rosewin, though she still has to prove she gets home over this far.
