The market may give us more clues to this opener, with five of the field having only their second run and the other six making their debut, but we will side with DANCING FREDDY who is preferred to Duchess Dora and Mr Smithson. The selection showed more than enough when second to the much more experienced Shark Man last time out to suggest a similar race can be found when the emphasis is on speed. The ground and trip will suit the gelding who looks a decent sort. Duchess Dora was third on debut last time. She looks capable of building on that last outing and should be there or thereabouts at the post. Mr Smithson is bred to make his mark as a two year old and impressed on debut back in early April. He failed to follow up on that promise last time but he will appreciate the low draw here and if he can put it to his advantage then he can but up there with the selection. Improved efforts are need from Tillys Tale and Agent Boo who were a little disappointing on debut. London Girl looks to be a promising debutant. Her yard are in good form of late but a finish outside the minors looks a likely finish for the filly. Our preference is for Dancing Freddy.
