Verdict

These Class 6 handicaps rarely have a standout performer but THE COVEX KID rates an exception as he arrives in search of a hat-trick in just ten days. He's been cleverly placed by Amy Murphy and can handle his double penalty against predominantly exposed older horses. Mr Trevor has to concede weight all round off 10-0 but is deserving of the burden on account of his consistency. He's one for the shortlist and placepot as usual, although this is his first attempt over 7f. Fircombe Hall has also been operating primarily over sprint trips but stays this far and turns up on the back of a good second art Ripon recently and should go well.
