        Verdict

        KAPONO was having just his second start for Roger Fell when winning comfortably over 6f at Newcastle on Friday where he was always travelling like a winner. He has a penalty to contend with and just gets the vote though will find The Defiant a tough nut to crack as Paul Midgley's charge has won three of his last four, making all on fast going in his last two. He's gone up 8lb for his latest success and doesn't have much in hand over Timetodock on collateral form so Tim Easterby's consistent charge is likely to get involved again. Tie A Yellowribbon looks certain to be winning soon though could do with a slight drop in the ratings.
