A modest selling contest but notable for the decision of David Pipe to send CABORA on the long haul from Somerset to the Lake District. He's nothing special but a recent third to Adiynara at Wincanton was a fair effort and he should be good enough dropped into the lowest grade. He's not one for large stakes though as he has looked a little tricky at times and Donald McCain's Cordillera, who showed some promise in modest company in her juvenile year, could threaten on her first visit to the track since finishing third to Traitor at Ludlow in October. Isabelle B showed flickers of promise in bumper company and looks to have been prepared with this in mind after a recent sharpener on the level in a Thirsk maiden, whilst Beat The Band has been delivering mid-division finishes in low-key handicaps and should appreciate the drop in grade.
