Verdict
SAMSTOWN finished a long way clear of An Capall Mor when getting off the mark over 3m at Perth last month. He has scope for further improvement over staying trips and should have no trouble confirming the form with Donald McCain's charge, despite the revised terms. Gray Hession was third at Limerick on his hurdling debut last month and could be a threat if he stays this longer trip but Referent is much better over fences.
