In depth

Verdict

The Galloping Bear was later disqualified for a banned substance having passed the post first in the Grand National Trial at Haydock in February and can race off a lower mark back over timber. Flight Deck ran no sort of race on his reappearance at Aintree and was pulled-up while Storm Nelson finished runner-up at Ayr early in the year and has subsequently undergone a wind operation. SILVER FLYER (NAP) finished well ahead of Western Run when also second at Ayr last month and given the fourth has boosted the form since, Donald McCain’s charge gets the vote.
