In depth

Verdict

A famous race and a competitive field with many having decent claims. Nigrasine never managed to dominate last time but would be a different proposition here if allowed to stride on. Sun Bird bounced back to form recently and has sound claims of following up as does Arpeggio who took a soft race in good style at Redcar. Pagan Prince ran a blinder at Leicester ten days ago and would go very close with a repeat performance, but marginal preference is for Macaw, who won well at York before going under by the minimum margin to a fast improving sort at Haydock last time.
