Several have shaped with promise and this may turn out to be a strong affair that MIRROR LAD can win at the chief expense of Marine Commando and Button Moon. Tom Dascombe's charge was a tad disappointing as a co-favourite for the Brocklesby and then suffered another reversal at Kempton last month. He has shaped as if a more thorough test of stamina will see a better performance and with this stiff finish likely to suit he should run well. Beyaz Villas needs a market check on his debut, Chadford and Dubai Celebration both shaped with promise on their respective Beverley debuts, whilst Marine Commando's sales price rose drastically as a two-year-old and represents a yard that can do no wrong at the moment. Reach To The Stars made his debut in a decent Thirsk contest so is respected especially if the market speaks in his favour, whilst Button Moon's third to Dinkum Diamond at Salisbury is better form than many of her rivals can boast. No Poppy and The Oboist are not dismissed too readily on debut, however we are happy to plump for Mirror Lad.
