Storm Surge is probably best watched on his first start since May, while Shelomoh was pulled up on his reappearance at Newcastle last month. Tartan Snow is interesting, however, having finished runner-up at Ayr nine days ago - he is on a lenient mark nowadays. Emotive is pretty consistent and Overbranch should be approaching peak fitness now, while Banoge won over C&D two years ago and looks the pick of Rose Dobbin's two runners. But preference is for Towcester runner-up DUKE OF MALFI, who hasn't always looked straightforward but goes on the ground and is a pound lower than when successful at Ayr last March.
