A disappointing turnout for the first race and it looks very hard to see our way past top-weight Hugo De Perro. He has proved to be something of a character at the start of his races and Wilson Renwick will need to ensure that he doesn't repeat his antics at Ayr where he refused to race. That said, Peter Monteith's charge came back to form in a handicap at Kelso where he ran his rivals ragged from flagfall. Lord Brex was a winner of a seller at Taunton and looks the likely danger. He was disappointing when the visor was applied at Doncaster for the first time and has a few pounds to find on official BHB figures. Mary Reveley is responsible for Mill Emerald. On his day he is capable enough over the trip and going but with the Saltburn team under a cloud, he is one to be wary of. Lucky Mick and Right complete the field but have difficult tasks at these weights.
