Count Meribel won on this card 12 months ago but Sam Twiston-Davies prefers stablemate Scotchtown, who has the edge in experience over most of these. Cake De L’Isle looks the type to carve a career over fences and gets the vote, though Donna's Delight has been lightly raced and has run some of his best races around here. The four-year-old RISK AND ROLL was beaten in a match on his chasing bow but has travelled a long way for this. A winner twice over hurdles last season, he is on a fair mark. Jammin Masters and Knockrobin are worth a market check but Al Shahir doesn’t have a chasing pedigree, unlike Coningsby. All of Grand Morning’s win last term came on heavy going and he won’t get those conditions here.
