Course form might be the key here in this apprentice riders' race and from a shortlist of SINBAD THE SAILOR, Hidden Door and Turner's Touch, it is the first mentioned who receives the extremely tentative nomination. John Hills' course winner comes here on the back of two fair runs at Kempton without setting the world alight. Keiren Fox, leading this apprentice series, comes in for the ride and this Cape Cross gelding looks handicapped to strike. Sand Repeal drops in grade and in the weights and is unlikely to be far away, Hidden Door ran well in defeat in a Yarmouth seller last time and the confidence may have been boosted, whilst Iguacu is better judged on his Nottingham win rather than his Wolverhampton flop last time out. The seven-year-old Turner's Touch has been off the track for two months and was last seen in some fairly modest races, Corrib and Arabian Silk come here on the back of decent efforts, whilst Location and Bernabeu need watching in the betting for a couple of shrewd outfits. An open finish to the meeting, and the narrow vote of confidence is given to Sinbad The Sailor.
