Wild Flower was having her 16th unsuccessful run when a beaten favourite at Chelmsford. This is Gulland Rock's class and trip but he's had several attempts at winning here and come up short while Gavarnie Encore has only ever won at Kempton and has failed to reach a place in six starts on Turf. Trust Me Boy's three career victories have all been at Southwell and he's 0-17 on Turf so a chance in a very poor contest is taken with HONITON LACE, who completed a double at Chelmsford in December/January and finished runner-up over a mile here on soft ground in August. Black Caesar was well beaten in a seller on his last start at Lingfield but won a handicap over 6f on this track in June and is back on the same mark.
