Sir Mark Prescott's BRETT VALE looks well handicapped and gets the nod here with closest competition expected to come from Beaubrav and Primo Dilettante. The selection looked very impressive when last seen. It was a big step up in trip on handicap debut, and was the Newmarket trainer's first winner since January. He represents a welcome return to form for the yard and he looks more than capable of following up on his last outing. Beaubrav has looked a decent sort since returning to action two starts ago. He finished fourth last time, but he returns to his trip of preference today and can go one better today. Primo Dilettante was a course and distance winner two starts ago. He had no luck on the lingfield all-weather last time, but his best form has come on the turf and a finish among the minors is not beyond him. As is the norm with races of this quality a check of the market is advised, Charlie Smirk and Red Reef look best of the remainder but they will either need to show a massive improvement or be very fortunate if they are to get the better of our selection Brett Vale.
