Black Caesar carries 6lb extra for winning over 7f here a week ago and has done all his winning so far over shorter trips. Ateem has gone close over 7f on the all-weather in both starts this year and has yet to attempt a mile but SPIRIT OF BELLE (NAP) won over today’s distance at Kempton last time to land a hat-trick. This looks no tougher, despite a 3lb rise, and it could pay to stick with Paul Cole’s progressive charge. Andalusite also won over a mile at Chelmsford earlier is another to consider.
