      Verdict

Mick Easterby has won this for the past three years and also in 2006 when Serena Brotherton was on board. The leading lady amateur rides CITY GROUND here, as she did in a similar race a couple of weeks ago when finding today's rivals Engai and Scrutiny just too strong. He struck form after finishing runner-up in this a year ago and is taken to reverse the form and keep up the stable sequence. Monopoli looked to be running into form when second here last week and is on the same mark while Rainford Glory's last victory was here a year ago and he's 1lb lower.
