Verdict

Solo Hunter showed his liking for a bit of cut in the ground over this trip at Leicester where he was very impressive, though the assessor has hit him with a 9lb rise. ICE SLICE (NAP) is another who likes some give as he showed with a comfortable victory at Newbury in October. He reappeared in similar conditions at Nottingham last month and did well to chase home Yourartisonfire so is taken to go one better. Border Bandit won here last summer and showed there is another race to be won with him when just touched off over track and trip last week. Ventura Quest is now back to the mark he last won off while the lightly-raced and progressive Queens Park made an encouraging return after a long absence.
