Verdict
After an encouraging reappearance in better company, Phamedic has been found a good opportunity to get off the mark, with Sir Night, Frank's Quest and Cottam Grange the main dangers. Tim Easterby's filly was placed in nursery-company last season and shaped well enough on turf at Southwell on her first start this year to suggest she is capable of winning a weak race such as this. This course and distance should be ideal for her. Sir Night was a good second at Nottingham last time but is not certain to stay this trip and has a bit to find with the selection on official ratings, an ex-Irish horse who has yet to run on turf in this country but produced some fair efforts on the sand at Southwell earlier in the year. Cottam Grange is only light-raced and has more scope than most of these, so even though he was well beaten in a similar race at Pontefract last time, it would be no surprise to see him improve on that today.
